I have chartered in different countries and am very disapointed in the USA charters. They have great web sites with pictures of great catches, But when you go out with them you are lucky to even get a bite. I suspect the pictures are of long ago catches.
I wish they would say if they are smoking or if they have no smoking charters. To me nicotine on the mates fingers is transferred to the bait.
They seem to dislike changing the lures when fish don't bite. Maybe they know there are no fish there anyway.
I also dislike charter boats with black smoke from the diesels. This gets on the lures and lines with an oily deposit and does not seem to attract fish and just gets passengers sick.
I run a 38' LOA twin diesel boat set up for fishing near shore and coastal waters. We seem to get better results than the local charters because we try to keep the fishing area clean.
Anybody agree or disagree?

I agree completely Cig./fuel smoke anything human and the fish know. I have a mate who swears by disposiable rubber gloves anytime he touches the bait or lures.

I can see where this is coming from, ie. the fuel/ cig. smell on the lures/ baits. And I think you may have a good point there.
I for one do not smoke, and I am very careful when fueling, as in I was carefully after doing so.

As far as the pictures, I can't say if they are recent or out dated, without a time date stamp it's impossible to say.

If you have had a bad experience with some Charter Service, I am sorry for that.

But, here on Lake Erie, I will do my best to put my clients on the fish.

If it has been slow, I will tell them up front that the conditions have not been favorable, and offer to change dates.

I cannot make a guarantee that we will catch fish, but I will do my best to find them and get on them.

have the great fortune of fishing in the well-known area of Mosquito Lagoon and adjacent waters of the Halifax River and New Smyrna Beach. I feel lucky to have such a great fishery at my disposal and have the passion for sharing it with others.

If sight fishing for tailing red fish, catching snook in the backwater creeks or running on the beach for schooling tarpon or cobia is what you had in mind, then you came to New Smyrna beach fishing
